Students Address Local Environmental Problems


Earth Force After School is a new program that encourages students to identify environmental problems in their communities and develop subsequent, long-lasting solutions. Earth Force, along with Global Rivers Environmental Education Network (GREEN), offers programs in eight municipal areas including Denver, Chicago and Philadelphia. This program helps to build awareness for students about the environment in their local area. Problems and solutions are the focal point and, hopefully, what the students learn will be carried on into their adulthood. GREEN?s mission is ?to improve education through a global network that promotes watershed stewardship and sustainability.? They have many teaching programs and training packages and aids that are available to the public at reasonable prices.
